Fostering Memories Since 1939

February 2023 Curator’s Report

February 8th, 2023

This month we had 2 functions in the hall making a total of 4, and 38 dates to the end of the year.

The volunteers were Deloris Cameron, Grant Miller and Wally Badgett. We have worked on the picture a couple of hours every Monday and Friday. I got most of the labels that will go in the showcases, in the main room and the Heritage center, ready to print. I also took inventory of the gift shop and then went to Market on Feb.4th. After I placed a call, Regans came and put in a new thermostat.

Had a call from Tom Welch of Havre, who is writing a book on the deadwood stages. He wanted pictures and any information we might have, so I sent pictures and will see what other information I can find.
The Fundraiser Committee had a planning meeting on Jan. 17th . The Chamber made ticket to sell, has put it on the calendar and will make posters for us. The tickets can be purchased from a member of the board or at the Chamber.

We went to the Chambers Awards Banquet where we were so proud when two of our board members received recognition. Sharon Moore for Volunteer of the year and Deloris Cameron was Senior Volunteer of the year.

I got the news letter written and sent to Alan Charles to proof read by the end of January. They have been copied, stamp and tray picked up from the Chamber and they are now ready to be stuffed in envelopes to mail.

After Alan Charles and the committee finished the Actions and Procedures booklet, I made copies to be approved by the board.

Weeding roofing brought us an estimate for the roof on the tool shed, the school house and the siding on the back wall of the town. It has been given to Sharon Moore and she will work on grants to help with those projects.

Respectfully Submitted,
Bunny Miller-Curator
