Fostering Memories Since 1939

September 2025 Curator’s Report

The month of August was a very busy time. Creig and I had many times where we could visit and get to know more about each other. We worked together on some projects and have found we have many things in common.

I have my computer now and it is ready to transfer information. Deloris had come and put somethings on a flash drive and if everything goes well next week I hope to get the rest finished.

I received a letter from the Dept. of Transportation, it seems that when we did the repairs to the sign on Highway 59 North the permit was not moved with the repair. After a phone call to find out what needed to be done to rectify the problem, he sent me an application, that I filled out and sent back to him with a $20.00 check. When the permit arrives, we have to place it on the sign, take a picture and mail said picture back to him.

We had a book signing for Bill O’Neals new book on Miles City. There were a few people who came. After being in town a few days, he was pleased with the comments he was hearing. We have sold some through the gift shop, I mailed one to Idaho and sold 2 to a lady who was in town yesterday, even though it was our day off.

The A C quit working about 3 weeks ago and leaked water all over the basement. I have been cleaning up the water when necessary and getting things moved round so the men have room to work. I have 2 estimates for the board to consider.

We were very busy with 7 functions in the hall this month, a Wedding, an Anniversary, a Birthday party and 2 class reunions. Lots of visiting and many memories made and remembered as they went through the museum.

Douglas Ochner was here 2 different days helping to get the railroad display finished. It sure is going to look nice when it’s all finished.

Respectfully submitted,
Bunny Miller–Curator
